New Hires Expand Firm Resources and Fuel Growth Plans
Scott Watnik, is a commercial litigator, who joins the firm's litigation practice with well over a decade of experience representing clients in complex commercial cases in federal and state courts across the country. His practice includes the representation of financial institutions, business owners, shareholders, insurers, and manufacturers, among others. Scott is a graduate of Columbia University and earned his Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School. Prior to joining Wilk Auslander, Scott spent a substantial part of his career at Cahill Gordon & Reindel, LLP, where he was an associate in the firm's litigation department. In 2014, Scott was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for the New York Metro region in business litigation. Prior to becoming an attorney, Scott, a two-time All-Ivy League tennis player at Columbia, had a brief stint on the professional tennis tour.
Lauren Balsamo, is a skilled real estate attorney who joins the firm's Real Estate Practice Group with more than seven years' experience guiding clients through the intricacies of commercial real estate transactions. Her practice includes the representation of landlords and tenants in the leasing of office, retail, warehouse and industrial properties. Lauren also represents developers, lenders and investment funds in the acquisition and disposition of commercial and mixed-use properties.
Prior to joining the firm, Lauren was an associate at Pepper Hamilton LLP in Philadelphia where she handled complex commercial leasing matters, managed all aspects of real estate acquisitions and dispositions and represented clients in zoning and land use matters before various municipal agencies. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Syracuse University and earned her Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law where she was a member of the Environmental Law Journal and graduated cum laude.
